Volunteers showed up at the Rendez-Vous Centre last Thursday for an apple work party. Maureen Purves cuts apples and packages them to be used for the Applefest event taking place Nov. 1.

Fogey Jam-2
A half dozen local middle-aged musicians came out to Higher Grounds for the inaugural Fogey Jam, a monthly event that mixes 90-minutes of instruction from Paul Smith of Smith Music with another 90 minutes of general jamming to tunes that have fallen off the music charts but not off the playlists of Fogey Jammers.
