After approximately 18 years in the same building, the Helping Hand is now closed due to a lack of an affordable place to rent. The store was given notice a few weeks ago that their lease was not being renewed by the building’s owner and the non-profit society felt an affordable location could not be found. On Friday, MCHS teachers and staff members helped the Helping Hand Store pack boxes, take down items from the walls, dismantle shelves, and load items onto a truck for delivery to the Cerebral Palsy Association.
