The event will begin with the Raising of the Franco Albertan flag at 12:30 p.m. at Morinville’s St. Germain Place (Town Hall). Festivities will continue at the cultural centre in the afternoon and evening.

The celebrations include activities for all ages: presentations and heritage and historical displays, music, children’s activities, drinks and food, including tortiere and soupe aus pois.

The main event takes place Friday night. Doors open at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a French buffet.

Canadian Grand Master Fiddle Champion Daniel Gervais, a young, dynamic proponent of traditional and modern fiddle styles, and his band will provide the evening’s entertainment running from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
