Morinville’s Tristan Turner named NDP candidate

When the next Alberta general election is called, Tristan Turner will be the NDP candidate in Barrhead-Morinville-Westlock. The party’s constituency nomination meeting took place Mar. 27 at the Morinville Community Cultural Centre. Turner was the only one who put his name forward by the deadline and became the candidate by acclamation.

Jessica Martel run enters its third year

The tragedy of a woman’s death will be used as the motivation for triumph – the triumph of completing 5- to 10-kilometre runs and the triumph of raising funds to provide safe shelter for victims of abuse. The Jessica Martel Memorial Run, set to take place June 21 pays tribute to the memory of Martel, killed by her common law husband

Province invests $7.9 million for St. Albert Lodge
