On April 22, 2015 at approximately 1:40 p.m., the Morinville RCMP responded to a call for service in Morinville where a lone male homeowner reported that an unknown male suspect forced himself inside his residence. Once inside, the suspect forced the homeowner against a wall pinning him there. The homeowner then began to fight back. A second male then entered the residence through the same door, went to the kitchen where an unknown number of prescription pills were taken.
The homeowner and first suspect ended up outside the residence where they crashed through a fence. The homeowner and suspect were still engaged in a fight. The second suspect exited the residence and when he did, he approached the homeowner and kicked him in the head. Both suspects then left the property and it is unknown where they went or how they left.
At this time it is believed that the victim’s home was targeted and this was not a random crime.
The victim described the suspects as:
The first suspect is described as a 6’4” male of Aboriginal descent with a stocky build. He was wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie pulled up over his head.
The second suspect is described as a 5’10” male of thinner build with darker skin. He is described as wearing blue jeans, a black T-Shirt. His hair is described as shaved sides of head with longer hair on top.
It is unknown if there were any other suspects involved or if there is a vehicle associated.
While police have confirmed the incident took place in Morinville, they are not disclosing the location.
