Letter: Toy Run organizers grateful

The Christmas in June Motorcycle Toy Run had 65 registrants, including 10 passengers (55 Bikes in lineup).
Neil McDougal won the 50/50 draw for $188.50 and donated $100 back to pot, giving us a total of $288.50
An extra 14 extra burgers were cooked totaling $70 and donations included $175 in cheques as well as Ward’s Auction ($1000), Rental Bus Lines (500) and Dave & Audrey Graham ($100).The total was $1775.

Cash sponsors from Spiker Equipment, His Trucking, Ross Horricks Family Dentistry, Drayden Insurance totalled $1800.

In-kind sponsorships were received from Taser Inc., Roadrunners Towing, Morinville Lions Club, Tim Hortons, The Morinville News, Hunter’s Print & Copy, Coach’s Corner and Sobeys.

Goody bag contributors incluced Bistro Di Madre Piccola, Xocai Chocolate, Town of Morinville, Rental Bus Lines, Roadrunners Towing.

There were 19 door prizes from Napa, Morinville Vet, Castrol, Teamsters Union, Technical Automotives, Dairy Queen, Curves, Amanda’s Pizza, Hair Rev Too

We are appreciative of the volunteers RCMP, Morinville Lions Club, Victoria Symanczyk, Linda Hartman, Albert Paquette, Maureen Keough, Dave and Audrey Graham, Frank and Audrey Iversen, Denise, Elyse Prince, Midstream Society, Simone Mills and Santa Claus.

Our out of pocket expenses included T-Shirts $2,263.53 for t-shirts, $1800 of which was paid for by sponsors and $463.53 by the Lions Club.

Food costs totalled $150.00 and were covered by registrations.
The event raised $3510.50 and Technical Automotives added $1525 in matching registration fees. This brings the total $5035.50.

  1. Wow, great job! The organization of this event would have taken a lot of work. That many motorcycles riding in unison was really cool and the event was a great success. Good on you?
