Police looking for suspects in Bon Accord robbery

Police responded to a robbery call at the Bon Accord Alberta Treasury Branch shortly after noon on Friday. Two disguised males had entered the ATB branch and robbed the lone female teller at gunpoint.

Once in the bank, one male pointed a black handgun at the teller and told her to lay face down on the floor. Police say once the teller was on the floor, the second male made his way behind the counter and gained access to the bank’s safe from where the robbers stole an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspects left the area on the Lily Lake Road in an older model green Dodge Caravan.

Police describe the first suspect as an older male between 5’10” and 6′ and weighing 200 to 230 pounds. He is described as having dirty feet and long toenails. The suspect was wearing sandals, blue track pants with a silver stripe, a black sweatshirt with a white logo on the left breast, black balaclava, white and black gloves and possibly a red undershirt or shorts.

The second suspect is described as being the same height and older
He was wearing sneakers, blue jeans, black hoodie, a scarf or bandana over his face, sunglasses and dark gloves.

Police describe the weapon as simply a black handgun.
