Canada Day in the Park a hit

This year’s Canada Day in the Park drew approximately 1000 residents and visitors to St. Jean Baptiste Park for an afternoon of family activities. As in previous years, groups of volunteers blanketed Morinville overnight with miniature Canadian flags at the end of driveways. Wednesday’s park activities included a hot dog lunch, cake and ice cream, live entertainment, and the welcoming open doors of the Mornville Museum, who put on a display of Canada’s past flags. The annual event is organized by the Morinville Historical and Cultural Society. The day concluded with a fireworks display, set off from the Morinville Public School field.

Here's about half of last night's fireworks at about twice the speed. We were able to film and photograph the display from underneath where they were being set off.
