The Golden Szechuan Buffet, located at 10603 100 Avenue (east of the Shell) is under new ownership. Holden Wu and Michelle Zhen, originally from Windsor, Ontario, took over the restaurant July 1 after looking for an opportunity to buy a business.
“We thought that this was a really nice location and the area was as big as we wanted,” Wu said, adding everything just fell into place.
The new owners also ran a restaurant in Ontario before moving west.
Wu and Zhen opened Golden Szechaun Buffet with a few changes. The first, a Chinese Buffet offered seven days a week.
“Before they didn’t use a buffet. It was just a dine-in, take-out business,” Wu said, adding the goal of he and his partner is to offer fresh food and great service.
Another change to the restaurant is their new hours. The restaurant will be open Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. and Sundays and holidays from noon until 11 p.m. The restaurant can be reached at 780-939-2650.
