Morinville RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 37, west of Highway 779 around 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
A west bound Mazda car with three occupants crossed the centre line and was struck by an east bound pickup truck with six occupants – two adults and four children.
Police say none of the truck’s occupants were injured; however, all three occupants of the Mazda were transported to the nearest hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The highway was closed and traffic was re-routed following the collision, but the roadway was reopened at 11:50 a.m.
RCMP are actively investigating alcohol as being a factor in the collision.
