Call him Mr. Hollywood

Rotary Club of Morinville President Sheldon Fingler (above) spent a little time in front of the camera recently, making a couple commercials that will air on CTV soon.

“I was helping my friend out who is the general manager of Allstar RV in Edmonton,” Fingler told Morinville News. “We did two commercials [that] morning and it took about three hours to do everything start to finish.”

Piling bricks

Construction workers apply bricks to the corner of the new Re/Max building on 100 Avenue Wednesday afternoon. Atlas Premium Home Development designed and built the new real estate facility. The brick corners on the building help tie it in to other buildings in the historic downtown area.

House comes down
Pierre Cournoyer said the house was built by his grandfather Eugene in the ’30s. The home was built for the hired help at the mink ranch. The garage was the kitchen at that time. Originally the mink and fox ranches were located near the Legion area but had to be moved out of town to where it was now. The approximately 650 sq ft, two-bedroom home did not have a basement and was currently not economically viable and had structural issues.
