The Morinville and District Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual Golf Tournament Sept. 14 at the Cardiff Golf and Country Club. Participation for the 18 holes and steak dinner is $100 a player or $400 per team. Dinner on its own is $40.
The big draw this year is Morinville Sobeys sponsoring a $10,000 gift certificate for a hole in one on Hole 15.
Chamber President Simon Boersma said the event offers business a chance to show off their products and is a fun event that all business owners and their staff can participate in.
“You don’t have to be a golfer,” he said. “I certainly am not a golfer. I carry the ball sometimes. This event is about getting to know the other guys out there.”
Now in its fourth year, Boersma said though the event is a fundraiser that pays for what the Chamber does in the community and covers staff wages, the real heart of the event is business networking.
Boersma and Golf Tournament Chair David Marshall of Champion Petfoods are hoping businesses come out in support of the event and take the opportunity to get to know one another. For more information visit MorinvilleChamber.com.
