Hogg nominated for two ACMA Awards

Morinville country singer Justin Hogg is up for consideration for two Association of Country Music in Alberta (ACMA) Awards. The up-and-coming singer/songwriter has been nominated for 2015 Male Artist of the Year and 2015 Fans’ Choice Award.

“I am very excited and incredibly humbled to learn that I have been nominated for two Association of Country Music In Alberta awards this year,” Hogg wrote on his fan page Nov. 4. “Huge thanks going out to the ACMA members who continue to support and believe in me.”

Nominations for awards opened Nov. 1 and ACMA members with voting eligibility have until Nov. 30 to vote for their choices. The top 10 contenders at the end of the nomination round will become the official 2015 nominees.

Hogg is one of 22 nominees in the 2015 Male Artist of the Year. Other nominees include Brett Kissel, Cole Malone and others.

In the Fans’ Choice Catagory, Hogg is one of 76 artists and groups in the category. Voting members will also have until the end of November to narrow the field down to a Top 10 who will move on to be this year’s nominees.

Winners will be announced during the ACMA Dinner and Awards Show Jan. 31, 2016.
