Police investigate break and enter and theft of mail

On January 11th, 2016, Morinville RCMP responded to a break and enter at the Canada Post in Legal. Entry was gained through the back delivery door of the building located on main street and was pried opened. Unknown amount of mail was stolen from the inside.

The investigation is on going and there are no witnesses or suspects at this time.

Morinville RCMP want to remind the population to take pro active measures in regards to collecting their personal mails:

mail should be picked up on a daily basis

make arrangement to have your mail pick up if you are leaving for an extended period of time

if you are going on Holidays, notify Canada Post and they will hold your mail until your return
if you receive mail that do not belong to you, notify Canada Post and return the mail to them

never send cash or cheques in the mail
