AUMA announces new CEO

The AUMA Board is pleased to announce that Sue Bohaichuk has accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2016.

“The Alberta Urban Municipalities Association Board was pleased to see many candidates of such a high caliber from across the country,” said Lisa Holmes, AUMA President. “I am proud to announce that the best candidate for this role was sourced internally at AUMA. We look forward to working closely with Sue in this new chapter for AUMA.”

Prior to accepting the role, Sue was an Executive Officer at AUMA, with responsibility for policy and advocacy on behalf of Alberta’s nearly 300 urban municipalities and liaised with federal and provincial governments on a variety of economic, social, and environmental matters.

Sue began her career as a CMA and her prior roles included that of CFO. Sue was also an Assistant Deputy Minister with the provincial government with responsibility for various programs in health, agriculture, government services, tourism, parks, recreation and culture, community development, and human rights.
