Wildrose taking in plenty of funds, party says

The Wildrose say the fourth quarter of 2015 saw more than double the funds raised in the third quarter, a period that saw the party take in more revenue than all the other parties combined.

The Wildrose say they brought in more than $589,000 in political contributions from October to December 2015. The period marks the parties second largest fundraising quarter in personal donations, and the most any party has raised in the post-corporate donation era.

“We are so thankful for this show of support from Albertans in these tough economic times,” said Jeremy Nixon, Executive Director, in a Friday news release. “These numbers reflect the growing strength we’re seeing in all areas of our party right now. We are Albertans’ conservative choice to defeat the NDP, and we’re proud to represent the common sense values Albertans are known for.”

Wildrose Leader Brian Jean attributed the record quarter to his MLAs, staff, and volunteers.

“I can’t say enough about how well our Wildrose team has performed over the last three months,” he said. “We are working very hard every single day to stand up for what matters most to Albertans – jobs and the economy. Albertans are seeing that and responding to it, as these excellent fundraising numbers show.”
