Celebration of culture

Notre Dame French Immersion students participated in a Festival du Voyageur and celebrated Canada’s pioneers and fur-trading past Jan. 20.

The morning activities presented French heritage and culture through entertainment, including with music using spoons, dance, maple spread tasting, trying out snowshoes, and building an ice house. The festival also made mention of the Quebec Winter Carnival and Bonhomme Carnaval, the biggest winter carnival in the world taking place Jan. 29 to Feb. 14.
