Primeau and MCHS get Gold with Distinction

It was another golden year for Georges H. Primeau School and Morinville Community High School this year. Both schools earned Gold with Distinction in all of their performances at the St. Albert Rotary Music Festival held Monday and Tuesday at the Arden Theatre.

The event has more than 2000 musicians and dancers with more than 750 adjudicated performances and more than 200 volunteers.

On Monday, the Primeau Grade 6 Band, under the direction of Conductor Nicole Baker, performed Midnight Mission and Gentle Winds, and Grade 7 performed All Ye Young Sailors and Pavane.

On Tuesday, The MCHS Concert Band, under the direction of Conductor Corinna Cormier performed The Spring Sketches ad Gathering of the Yeomen. There was also a performance from the school of a Woodwind Ensemble with a group of six students that also received the Gold with Distinction Certificate.
