On Monday, June 20, 2016, Nick Wojtkiw of Morinville, Alberta passed away suddenly at the age of 92 surrounded by his loving family.

Nick leaves to mourn his loving wife of 66 years, Alice and his five children; Connie (Don), Terry, Carol (Neil), Rob (Donna) and Karen. As well as seven grandchildren; Keith (Jessie), Simon, Lee, Jill, Elliot and Diana and great-grandchild Austin. Nick is predeceased by his parents John and Maria, brother George, sister Olga, and grandson Zane.

Nick was a great friend to many in Morinville where he lived, raised his family and ran his auto body business. He had a passion for life as a fantastic baseball player, an avid golfer and a very accomplished curler ( he beat Hec Gervais!). He and Alice never missed an Oiler or Eskimo game. Nick loved playing the accordion and bird watching. In his 70s Nick became an artist, spending many hours sketching and painting until his final days.

Nick was a man of few words but always had time to listen and most of all; he was a true gentleman.

The funeral service will be held Friday, July 1, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Baptiste Church in Morinville.

The family thanks everyone for their kind thoughts, words and deeds.
