Robbery at Champlain Pharmacy in Morinville

Morinville RCMP responded to an armed robbery at the Champlain Pharmacy IDA in Morinville at approximately 11:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

Police say a lone male entered the pharmacy wearing a black bandana, approached staff, and stated he had a knife in his pocket.

The suspect did leave the store with an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs in what appeared to be a yellow plastic grocery bag.

The suspect is described as a 20- to 25-year-old caucasian male approximately 5’6” tall with an athletic build. He was wearing a navy coloured hoodie, blue jeans, white running shoes, and had on large black rimmed sunglasses with mirrored gold lenses.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Morinville RCMP at 780-939-4520.   1. The poor pharmacy needs to have security guards! How many times has it been robbed.
