by Morinville News Staff

On August 6th, 2016 at approximately 8:00 p.m., Morinville RCMP responded to a call at the Morinville Public School.

There was video footage showing a lone male taking a piece of lumber and throwing it through a pane of glass on a door and gaining entry to the school. There does not appear to be anything damaged or stolen from inside the school.

In a release to local media Sunday afternoon, 50 days after the crime was committed, police say the male appeared to be alone.

He is described as a white male of medium build with blonde hair and in his late teens to his early 20s. Police say he was wearing a plaid shirt, black undershirt with white writing, a black hoodie with white lettering on the front and blue jeans

The Morinville RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the offender.
