Jets fall to Chiefs

by Morinville News Staff

Powerplays and shorthanded goals dominated the Morinville Jets Vs Beaumont Chiefs game Friday night. In the end, the Jets fell 7-4 to the Chiefs and down to fifth place in the CJHL standings.

The Jets ended the first period trailing 3-1, the club’s only contribution coming from Brett Dubuc on a powerplay chance. The second period saw both sides capitalizing on power plays both in goals and shorthanded goals, but the Jets were on the downside of a 6-3 score after 20. The third period saw Tyler Hagel getting a shorthanded goal mid-period, which was answered by the Chiefs on the powerplay shortly after to end it 7-4.

The Jets played Sunday night after our holiday press deadline. See MorinvilleNews.com this week for details.

They play Leduc Friday on the road and the Bruins Sunday at home.
