The Strathcona Bruins were scoreless after three Sunday night, giving the Morinville Jets a 3-0 victory and their second consecutive win after a run of five losses and overtime losses. Sundays win brought the Jets to 4-2-4 this season and third place in the CJHL’s West Division.

Most of the Jets’ Sunday tally happened in the first period with even-strength goals from Tyler Hagel and Brett Dubuc. After both sides had failed to score in the middle frame, Lee Gadoury picked up the Jets third and final goal with a shorthanded contribution with 5:58 left on the clock.

The Jets hit the road Friday night to face the Hawks in Fort Saskatchewan, then return home Sunday night to face the Spruce Grove Regals at 6:45 p.m.
