While many hockey fans were watching the Walking Dead Season 7 Premiere Sunday night, the Morinville Jets were delivering a pounding of their own – a 6-1 victory over the visiting Spruce Grove Regals.

Sunday night’s win makes it 5-3-4 for the Jets and gives them a third-place slot in the CJHL’s West Division.

The Regals, currently sitting in the bottom spot in the CJHL with one win in 11 outings, earned their only goal of the game in the first period on a powerplay chance.

The Jets tally was made up of three in the first, one in the second and a pair to cap the score at 6-1 in the third. Riley Van Brabant got a pair of those six goals during the game.

The Jets play the Warriors on the road Wednesday night and the Flyers Sunday night at home at 6:45 p.m.
