MPS and Primeau hold Remembrance Day ceremonies [VIDEO]

Morinville Public School held their Remembrance Day Ceremony on Wednesday morning.

The ceremony included the Act of Remembrance read by Sgt Ken MacDonnell, Military Police Cdn Forces Service Prison and Detention Barracks, CFB Edmonton and guest speaker Lt. James Dockrill, 1 Platoon Commander 11th All Source Intelligence Company.

In Flanders Field was performed by 4L and read by 3W class,followed by the presentation of wreaths, Last Post, Minute of Silence and Reveille.

Closing remarks were made by Principal Wayne Rufiange.

Guests were encouraged to view the hallway of heroes depicting artwork and projects on Canadian soldiers made by the students as they made their way to the gym.

Primeau held their Remembrance Day Ceremony on Wednesday morning in the school gym with guest speaker Warrant Officer Amber Horricks.

Students also had a table display,read passages, sang O Canada and had a Cadet Colour Guard.

The processional of dignitaries was conducted while listening to the song titled, “Abide With Me.”

Remembrance Day Ceremonies were also held at Morinville Public School on Wednesday morning.

Morinville Community High School and Notre Dame are holding their services Thursday.
