Morinville Kings get some help on the ice

by Morinville News Staff

Sturgeon Hockey Club Initiation 2 player Tysen Hallett joined the Morinville Kings on the ice for their warmup Saturday night. But that was not the only help the Kings got. A knocked-out board glass a minute-and-a-half into the game caused a 40-minute delay but was repaired by Town of Morinville arena staff.

The Kings played Slave Lake Saturday night and came out with a 12-3 win, building from a 4-1 first, period and a 7-1 second period. The Kings now stand at 8-3-0.

The Kings hit the road this week taking on the Barons in Devon Saturday night and moving on to Eckville Sunday afternoon. Their next home game is Dec. 10 against Bonnyville.
