It’s was a first place showdown for the Morinville Jets Wednesday night on the road. But a 5-4 overtime win against the North Edmonton Red Wings puts the Junior B club at the top of the CJHL West Division’s pecking order.
Wednesday night’s road win puts the Jets at 14-4-4 this season with 32 points, two points and one game ahead of the Red Wings.
Tied 2-2 after one, 4-4 after two and a scoreless third period for both sides, the game was decided in overtime for the Jets.
The Jets hit the Regals Friday night on the road, and return home Sunday to face the Riggers at 7:15 p.m. (note game time is half hour later than normal.)
