Jets frozen by Icemen

After an impressive eight-game winning streak, the Morinville Jets were frozen on home ice Sunday night. The Jets fell 4-1 to the visiting Wetaskiwin Icemen, bringing their record to 17-5-4 this season. The club holds tight it’s first place West Division standing.

The Jets struggled Sunday night to gain a goal, trailing 1-0 after one, 2-0 after two, and 4-0 in the third before Joshua Perrott, assisted by Scott Woloshyn and Lee Gadoury, got the Jets only goal of the game on the power play with 8:11 left on the clock.

The Jets last two games this month are home games. They play the Hawks Sunday night at 6:45 p.m. and the Regals Dec. 20 at 8:30 p.m.
