RCMP looking for help in recent rash of thefts from vehicles

The Morinville RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects in relation to a rash of Thefts from Motor Vehicles that occurred over the nights of August 20, 2017 and August 21, 2017. The reported thefts occurred in the areas of Grandin Drive, and the Lakes in Morinville. Based on the reported incidences the suspects entered unlocked motor vehicles and stole wallets, loose change, sunglasses, cigarettes, and vehicle documents.

The Morinville RCMP encourages the public take pro-active steps to prevent thefts from vehicles:

· Ensure your vehicles are locked and that all valuables are removed;
· Ensure adequate lighting in and around your home;
· Be aware of unfamiliar persons walking, riding bicycles, or driving vehicles in your neighbourhood;
· Ensure your home, garage, and shed are locked even if you are home; and
· Report suspicious persons and thefts in a timely manner to the RCMP.

The investigation continues; however, if anyone has any information in regards the Thefts or can identify possible suspects, please contact the Morinville RCMP at 780-939-4520.   1. Why do people leave their cars unlocked … no one is safe from thieves …
    c.o.P went around at one time and they were amazed as to how many unlocked vehicles there were … don’t make it so easy for them !!
