Morinville Fire Department purchases new All-Terrain Pump

submitted by Town of Morinville

At the end of August, Morinville Fire Department received a new piece of equipment – an All-Terrain Pump, for help with wildland fires, and small fires such as garbage bins and vehicles.

This mini pump is on the back of Morinville Fire Department’s Unit 7 (one-ton truck) and has a 200-gallon water tank and foam capabilities that will help extinguish wildland fires, garbage fires, and small vehicle fires quickly and easily.

“We are in the process of training with this unit, and it will be in service soon,” explains Brad Boddez, Morinville Fire Chief. “As the unit is mounted in the back of our one-ton truck, accessibility to fields and parks are much easier and faster than our town pump truck. This will be a great benefit to the Town of Morinville’s citizens and the residents of those mutual aid partners whose area we protect.”

This equipment was an item identified and approved within the 2017 budget.
