The Morinville & District Chamber of Commerce had scheduled their Annual General Meeting for June; however, COVID-19 altered those plans as it did with most community activities. The event will now take place on Sept. 9 with a mix of in-person and virtual attendees.
“We’re limited to 30 indoors. That’s all that will fit in that room [we use],” said Chamber Manager Roberta Pawluk, adding in-person seating will consist of six socially distanced tables of five people. “We’re swearing in two new board members, as well as Mayor [Barry] Turner is coming to give a year-end update.
Pawluk said seats are still two seats available on the board. Those wishing to serve on the board can send their name and info to Pawluk at chamber@morinvillechamber.com.
