Sturgeon County out of COVID-19 watch zone, Morinville remains at 2 cases

As of Monday afternoon’s update, Sturgeon County is now out of the province’s Watch designation with 7 cases or 25 active cases per 100,000 of population. A watch zone is designated by the province when a region has a minimum of 10 active cases and 50 actives cases of more per 100,000 of population.

Although the County is out of the watch zone designation, the temporary mask bylaw is in effect still. That bylaw will end as soon as Sturgeon is out of the watch zone status for 14 consecutive days.

As of Monday, Morinville remains at 2 cases as it was on Friday. St. Albert has 13 active cases of 18.9 per 100,000 of populatiom.
