Here is an overview of the Sting and Fillies this week.

U13AA Sting

The U13AA sting won one and lost one over the weekend. The team started with a 5-4 win over the visiting GPAC Minhas Brothers Group Storm and lost 13-1 the following day to the Strathcona Warriors.

Friday night’s home game saw the Sting lead by one through all three periods, building from a 3-1 first period to 4-3 and 5-4 after 60 minutes.

Brody Boulerice picked up two of the team’s five goals, and Kody Clark, Ben Danks, and Layne Seguin picked up a goal apiece.

In Saturday’s road game, Lincon Allary picked up the Sting’s only goal of the game.

The win and loss bring the U13AA Sting to a 2-5-1 record this season.

The Sting play two road games this week-the St. Albert Stars Saturday, Nov. 5 and the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers Sunday, Nov. 6.

U15AA

The U15AA Sting played just one game this week, a road game against the PAC Saints White.

In that outing, the Sting took the day with an 8-4 victory, bringing their record to 4-4-0 this season.

The Sting started the game tied 2-2, but the next 20 minutes saw the club pull ahead to a 6-2 lead. The final frame gave both the Sting and Saints an extra two to end the game 8-4 in the Sting’s favour.

Nathan Morgan picked up three of the club’s eight goals. Liam Rentz and Lukas Boissonnault picked up two apiece. Issac Pelletier also earned the Sting a goal during the game.

The Sting play the KC Voyageurs Saturday, Nov. 5 at home at 5 p.m.

U18AA

The U18AA Sting had no games this week. They hit the road Wednesday night to play the St. Albert Crusaders, then host the visiting KC Colts Sunday, Nov. 6 at 4:30 p.m.

Sturgeon Fillies

The Sturgeon Fillies have two games coming up this weekend, Saturday, Nov. 5 in Leduc, and Sunday, Nov. 6 in Legal. The Legal game is at 2 p.m.
