Morinville – For the first time this season, the Morinville Jets have ended a game scoreless. Tuesday night’s 4-0 loss to the Sherwood Park Knights, the Jets first contest against the CJHL’s fifth-ranked team this season, pushed the Jets to fifth slot in the West Division and eighth spot in the league overall.

Morinville – Sunday afternoon’s 8-1 home-ice victory over the Stony Plain Flyers came as no real surprise to Jets fans. Heading into the contest, the Flyers had lost 23 of their 24 games this season, two of which were in overtime, giving them four points in the CJHL standings.

Morinville – Friday night’s home-ice contest against the 1-13-0 Wabamun Wings could hardly be described as exciting hockey. Although the 13-0 victory gave the Titans another two points and increased their goals for and against numbers by a margin of 13, the Wings provided little challenge to the Titan’s superior talents.

Morinville – Sunday night’s 4-3 loss to the Edmonton Avalanche gave the Morinville Titans their second defeat of the week. Earlier in the week the Titans were shootout by the SWZ Oil Kings in a 4-0 road game upset.

Morinville – The Morinville Jets’ 5-3 win over the Leduc Schwab Riggers Sunday afternoon extended the Junior B club’s winning streak to three consecutive games, something the Jets have not been able to do since the beginning of the season when they pulled off back-to-back wins against the Stony Plain Flyers, Edmonton Mustangs and St. Albert Merchants over an eight-day period.

Morinville – In their sixth consecutive win, the Morinville Titans upset the Noralta Junior Hockey League’s top-ranked Edmonton Avalanche, a team that prior to coming up against the Titans Tuesday night had only been defeated once this season.

The Warriors are currently the top-ranked team in the Capital Junior Hockey League with a 15-2-2 record on the season and averaging just above five goals per game.
