Morinville – The Morinville Jets (18-15-5) ended the final weekend of the CJHL regular season with one win and one loss. The Jets defeated the Wetaskiwin Icemen 2-1 in a shootout Friday night and fell to a 5-2 decision in favour of the Beaumont Chiefs Sunday afternoon, a contest that brought an end to the Jets’ three-game winning streak.

Tuesday night’s 4-0 loss to the Sherwood Park Knights, the Jets first contest against the CJHL’s fifth-ranked team this season, pushed the Jets to fifth slot in the West Division and eighth spot in the league overall.

Morinville – The Morinville Jets’ 5-3 win over the Leduc Schwab Riggers Sunday afternoon extended the Junior B club’s winning streak to three consecutive games, something the Jets have not been able to do since the beginning of the season when they pulled off back-to-back wins against the Stony Plain Flyers, Edmonton Mustangs and St. Albert Merchants over an eight-day period.
