Charity auction sets new record

Morinville – Despite the poor weather, Coach’s Corner on 100 Street was packed Saturday night for the16th Annual Santa Store Charity Auction. The Midstream Support Society fundraising event, once again presided over by auctioneer Brad Ward, raised with more than $22,765, beating out last year’s record of $22,038.

Morinville – The total raised at the 14th Annual Santa Store Charity Auction was $20,003 and counting Saturday night. Linda Krauskopf, one of the directors of the Midstream Support Society, said as people were paying for their purchases some were donating additional money to the cause.
