Champion compliance agreement targets May

Morinville – Two months after unanimously voting in favour of pursuing a compliance agreement with Champion Petfoods over outstanding odour issues, the document is yet to be signed by the two parties. It was anticipated both the Town of Morinville and pet food manufacturer would ink the agreement by mid-April.

Morinville – Following word Champion Petfoods would not have its odour issues solved by the end of August as originally planned, Morinville Town Council and administration had an opportunity to tour the plant Tuesday afternoon to find out why. Champion Petfoods on track for odour mitigation

Morinville – Residents and visitors could smell nothing but the summer breeze this August if Champion Petfoods is able to stay on track with its current odour reduction strategy. Morinville councillors and administration were sent an update Friday of Champion’s efforts to mitigate the smell coming from its plant.

Deputy Mayor unimpressed with Champion Petfoods presentation

Morinville – Deputy Mayor Paul Krauskopf had some harsh words for Champion Petfoods President and CEO Frank Burdzy Tuesday night, urging the head of the local manufacturing plant to return to Morinville Town Council in January of 2011 with some concrete solutions on what the plant was doing to mitigate the smell emanating from its stacks.
