We’ve got sunny days ahead this weekend, a great time to get out and check out some of what is going on.


Emergency education

Poll time
Voters will no doubt give some thought over the weekend as to who to cast their ballot for on Monday. Those who have already made up their minds filed into the Morinville Community Cultural Centre Thursday for the first of three days of advanced polls. Advance polls Thursday

Voting takes place at the Morinville Community Cultural Centre Apr. 23 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Two more advance polls will be held at the same location Apr. 20-21 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.


Trade Show On
A man enjoys Thursday’s sun and the latest issue of The Morinville News Thursday afternoon. This week’s issue has the Trade Show pullout. The Morinville and District Chamber of Commerce Trade Show runs Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $3 per person or $10 per family. Calvin Vollrath to play
Morinville – Veteran Canadian fiddler Calvin Vollrath will be coming back to Morinville Apr. 20-22 for three days of music in a community he once called home. The three-day fiddle fest will include a Dine and Dance Apr. 20, a CD Release Party Apr. 21, and a Fiddle Gala Apr. 22. See full story here.
