Rainbow gardens
Morinville Public Elementary School Headstart students started painting one of the water barrels for the Morinville Community Garden Monday afternoon, deciding on a rainbow design for the project. A total of eight water barrels to be used by everyone in the have been primed. Each MPES class will be painting one barrel in the design of their choice. – Lucie Roy Photo

Heron today, gone tomorrow
A pair of young great blue herons were spotted around the fish and Game Association trails Monday afternoon. Fully grown, the bird has a wingspan between 66-79 inches and are the largest of North American herons. – Stephen Dafoe Photo
