Morinville residents could be seeing some new faces at the Community Cultural Centre.

The Town is seeking an Events & Culture Services Coordinator and an Events & Culture Services Programmer.
According to Morinville Chief Executive Officer Debbie Oyarzun, the new hires reflect restructuring in the Community Services Department that is housed at the centre.

The restructuring is part of the Town’s effort to address recommendations from the approved implementation plan that followed completion of the Organizational Effectiveness and Efficiency Review.

Oyarzun said it allows the Department to better present its core functions: recreation and sport programming, family community support services and community programming, and events and cultural services.

“This restructuring also supports our first steps towards a new customer service excellence model that will positively impact access to programs and services offered by the Town,” she said. “The change will create the opportunity for a one-stop shop approach to doing business with the Town.”

The restructuring changes will be reflected in the Town organizational chart that will be made available as part of the 2016 Corporate Operational Plan, to be ready before the end of the first quarter.

“Please be assured that during this transition quality service to our residents and clients remains our key priority,” Oyarzun said.
