On Monday afternoon Morinville Public School teachers and staff participated in a team building workshop. The teams were provided with a precut wooden kit with no diagram and no access to Google or other devices for ideas on the build. All the pieces of wood had to be utilized in the build. The houses will be auctioned off with the money being used in the community.

On Tuesday morning members of the Morinville Festival Society were presented with a $750 donation cheque from Synergy Aviation Ltd. Synergy Aviation Ltd. Administration member Lisa Urie, Mayor Lisa Holmes, pilot Justin Cruse were on hand to present the cheque to Korien Sampson, President of the Society and Vice-President Julie Booth.
The aviation company provided helicopter rides at the St. Jean Baptiste Festival and provided more than 100 rides for more than 300 participants. Cruse said the oldest was an 86-year-old woman who had it on her bucket list.
