Forage program offers farmers financial break

Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) and Crop Production Services (CPS) are offering a forage program that may be the solution for farmers affected by last year’s drought conditions.

Today that young woman, Kali MacDonald, has a busy life attending Morinville Community High School, working at the Morinville Sobeys, and singing with her sister as one-half of the MacKs. But as she goes about an active daily life, she remains the starting point for a charitable cause that has raised millions of dollars for cancer research and benefited Make-A-Wish Northern Alberta and Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Province offers guidelines on learning environments that respect diversity

School boards have a new resource to assist school boards in drafting policies to support welcoming, caring, respectful and safe schools.

RCMP report reduction in serious traffic incidents over holidays

Traffic fatalities, injuries and damage to property were down between Dec. 23, 2015 and Jan. 3, 2016 compared to the same holiday period of 2014.

Provincial holiday traffic statistics released by the RCMP Jan. 5 show there was one traffic fatality and 95 motor vehicle-related injuries during the period as well as 1204 instances of damaged property. […]
