Morinville RCMP responded to a residential break and enter in the area of Township Road 544 and Range Road 274 in Sturgeon County at approximately 10:40 a.m. June 25.
Subsequent investigation revealed unknown individual(s) broke into the residence, setting off the alarm system. It is believed that the audible alarm may have scared the culprit(s) away. Nothing was taking from the residence.
Police say they did extensive patrols in the area in the hopes of gaining additional evidence and potential witnesses. This incident is still under investigation and the Edmonton forensic identification section is assisting in the investigation.
