In August we received and ran many photos from Mornville and area residents. Our first month’s photo offerings were taken to the Morinville Community Library Aug. 28, where staff chose the Our Morinville winner for the month. August’s winner was Tracy Reaume for her shot of her dog Coco jumping after a tennis ball. Congratulations, Tracy.
Amazing creature
The design in this caterpillar is absolutely stunning, local photographer Stacey Sampson tells us. The photo was taken at her family barbecue recently.
Cartoonish caterpillar
Jerry Kaup of Sturgeon County sent this great shot of a caterpillar on his apple tree, an insect he believes looks like a Disney character. We think so too.
Up, up and away
Our Morinville regular Frank Koenig sent us these shots of a hot air balloon that has become a regular site in the area.
Teddy tugboat
Gail Raine tells us she and her husband travelled to Nova Scotia this summer. While taking a tour of the harbour (on a land/sea vessel) they spotted Theodore Tugboat. We’re sure this is a familiar character to many readers.
