The Kings picked up their sixth consecutive win Saturday night, an 8-5 home-ice victory over the visiting Edson Ice. The win brings the Kings to 12-3-0 with three games left in the regular season.

Saturday night saw the Kings trailing 4-3 after one, but fortunes reversed in the middle frame with the Kings bringing it to a 5-5 tie after 20. As they have many times in the past, the club poured it on in the last 20 to earn another three goals while keeping Edson scoreless.

It’s been a good season for the Kings. They’ve pocketed 99 goals in 15 games, more than any other club in the league.

Additionally, Morinville Kings players take up three of the top five league leader spots.

Kyle Harris is in the second slot with 11 goals and 15 assists, and Thomas Brennan is in third spot with ten goals and 16 assists. Cole Cavell holds fifth-place with 11 goals and 13 assists.

The Kings play the Wild January 8 on the road. Game time in Whitecourt is 3:30 p.m. Jan. 8.
