Input received will be considered in developing investment options and recommendations that Administration will make to Council in August.
You know damn well everyone going to bitch about not having a pool ?
?Gym ?? gym gym gym ??gym ????
That’s what I’m excited for. Can’t wait in fact.
Yes indeed
Same here!
We already gave our input. And no pool allowed lol
I thought there was a pool area going in?
If you click the link and read the article, the input the Sturgeon County is looking for is what level of financial contribution they should be making towards the building and operating of the facility.
It’s hard clicking on a link at 0930 am. My fingers need to wake up first ?
Luc Aubuchon LOL. What is an appropriate time for link clicking. We’ll take it under consideration.
We need a swimming pool!!!!
People, stop with the pool issue. This article is NOT about what is or isn’t being included in the build. That has already been determined…
It’s about the structure of financial obligations and how that should look.
Christina Mcginty Revells – we’d like to thank you for reading the article past the headline.
Always the beacon of knowledge. ?
Apparently the public input based on comments here is Sturgeon County should invest roughly 28 million…..
It’s a fascinating subject. I would recommend whatever approach minimalizes the impact on taxes and is funded directly by those who use the facility. The cost of living is so high as it is, a person wonders how we can afford yet another thing!
POOL!!!
What time is it? pool!
Do you know where I can buy a hat? POOOL!!!
That’s kind of snarky, MN. Regardless of whether an official decision has been as to no pool, they are still ignoring the fact a huge percentage of Morinville residents and county residents want a pool. So, frankly, blow the snark out your ear!
Chelle Jane it is snarky and it is humour.
The article is not about what should be in it but what level Sturgeon County should contribute to what is being built.
That is what Sturgeon County is seeking from their residents.
MorinvilleNews.com I’m perfectly cognizant of that. It seemed rather insulting, and not as humourous as you assumed.
Chelle Jane …the town council has had numerous town meetings in the last few years. The ‘pool topic’ comes up regularly. There is no way Morinville residents can afford to have a pool. This has been proven over and over. No matter how much we want one (and I do), as you have said the cost of living is high…we simply cannot afford a pool.
What I find insulting is the fact that Morinville News takes a lot of time and puts a lot of effort into their articles and nobody actually takes the time to read what is said, they only read the headline.
Crystal Terhorst I know. That wasn’t at issue. I just feel for the people who still want one, and I didn’t think the simple comment pool warranted quite the response it got. Nonetheless, we shall leave it.
Chelle Jane sounds good
Brianna McMow and I would agree. Wwlcome to the world of cyberspace. Albeit that may or may not be the case of the gentleman who said, “POOL!”
Chelle Jane woman* ??
Chelle Jane
If people actually read the article they wouldn’t be commenting about a pool. Simple.
Isn’t it a little late for input on investment when the structure is already being built??? Kinda behind the 8 ball here! Investment proceeds should clear before proceeding to see if its options are viable and to whom they fall upon!
We’ll just post the article as a comment to save people clicking a link:

Can’t wait until this is done so I can workout at an actual gym in Morinville…
Holy cow! Why is it so hard for people to read and comprehend the article????
Its hard to even comment on what level of financial contribution they should be making towards the building and operating of the facility when there’s no fricken POOL.
GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT!
There will be no pool.
Jaime Aubuchon wait, I just bought goggles. Dammit!!
Mike Gyver Pepin use them for the flood in NB next year. Haha
Water was too murky
28 million and the people can have what they want. I’ll give you 5 bucks to start the collection.
I want to do a study on the average thickness of skulls in this area.
Build the pool and make it fully functional ? plus save millions in extra charges if we do it now instead of later.
Should have had input from the start and how about a pool…???
I can tell the county’s gene pool is pretty shallow.
