Noon collision sends three to hospital

Morinville – A Tuesday morning collision on 100 Avenue and 107 Street between a car and an SUV sent three to hospital, police report.

The collision occurred in front of the Shell gas station on 100 Avenue when a car turning east off 107 Street and an SUV turning off 100 Avenue into the service station collided.

Paramedics, police and Morinville Fire Department arrived on scene around noon. The vehicle’s two passengers and SUV’s lone occupant were taken by ground ambulance to hospital with minor injuries.

Morinville RCMP Constable Yelena Avoine said the investigation is on-going and that no charges have been laid at this time. Alcohol is not a factor in the collision.

Witnesses are asked to call the Morinville RCMP Detachment at 780-939-4550.
