Family, friends and Morinville residents had the opportunity to say their farewell to Charlie Lafferty at Rory’s Pub Saturday night when Lafferty’s Wake, an interactive farce, hit the in the Morinville Community Cultural Centre stage for one night only.
Global’s Kevin O’Connell played the role of Rory Finn, the owner of the pub where the Lafferty Wake was held. O’Connell’s friend of almost 30 years, Mark McGarrigle, played the role of Father Pettigrew, the village priest.
Joining O’Connell and McGarrigle were Rita Jensen as the widow Kathleen Lafferty, Sandra McCallum as Maggie Clancy, Adam Montgomery as Patrick Clancy, and Laurie Borle as Molly.
Lafferty’s Wake sold out 13 straight nights in St. Albert in 2015. Approximately 300 came out to the Morinville performance June 4.
