Dale Dinsmore and Linda Ferguson of Pleasant Homes pose with some of the garage sale items that were available in their Fourth Annual Charity Garage Sale Friday afternoon. The two-day event brought in $2,700 for the Morinville Food Bank Society, a number that will be matched by Pleasant Homes, bringing the total donation to $5,400.
An Elvis Halloween
People might not have been surprised to see a tall man dressed as Elvis walk into the Villeneuve Hall Saturday night. It was, after all, a Halloween dance. But when the Elvis lookalike took to the stage with the Satellites to sing a few tunes, people realized there was more to Morinville’s Rick Johnsen than his sideburns and rhinestone. Johnsen, a local Elvis tribute Artist, was the Satellites special guest Saturday night. Johnsen has performed a number of gigs locally and participated in an Elvis Tribute Artist contest in British Columbia in the summer of 2009. – Submitted Photo.
Thanks Stephen for putting in the great write-up on our local Elvis Tribute Artist Rick Johnsen. Much appreciated
