Morinville Fish and Game Association (MFGA) held their Annual General Meeting and regular meeting in their new clubhouse Sept. 10. Servus Credit Union Branch Manager Kym Moore and employee Lorraine Blackburn presented a $5000 donation to the club. In her presentation Moore said the MFGA continue to strengthen the community and that the soon-to-be-completed clubhouse will bring some added resources to the community as well as services and education.

MFGA Treasurer Joe Dwyer said the new hall had taken a lot of work from a lot of people over the years. He said he wished some of the club’s founding members were around to see the accomplishments.

Dwyer went on to say the group would be working hard to get youth involved in the MFGA. “We are going to start to provide services that we hope will benefit the community, and your donation today is only going to help that in many ways,” Dwyer told Moore, adding he looked forward to working with the credit union and giving them updates on their progress.
